Harry Hales Bags Two Chunks

Young carper Harry Hales had a great Autumn day session this week bagging two lovely carp from the tricky Monument 1 in Shifnal, Shropshire. The RH Fisheries venue has been fishing hard of late, so bagging a 28lber and 35lber was a superb bit of angling.

Harry arrived to find the carp stacked up in one corner on a virtually empty lake. Single wafters were cast to showing fish and then it was simply a case of sitting on his hands.

"The 35lber is called HRH and a real old one from the lake," says Harry. "It was a great result catching that fish. The 28lber was just a bonus!"

H-Hales-28-00Harry used Avid end tackle, which included a Pindown leader, perfect for the Monument's soft clay lakebed. "There's no better option," he grins.

The footage of Harry's 35lber will be on our YouTube channel very soon, as Harry demonstrates one of the latest unhooking mats from Avid Carp. Watch this space!
