Jason Allaway is a British Carp Angling Championships regular and a real carp match expert, finishing runner up with Jamie Simpson in 2009. He's a BCSG member and also runs his own fishery near Nottinghamshire, which has some seriously quick growing carp in!

He's a competitive angler that thrives on the pressure of a match situation, but takes the same approach wherever he's fishing to keep his bobbins dancing at all times!

"Although the Carp would always be my first choice of species, I also enjoy fishing for various other coarse fish depending on the season and time available. I genuinely believe that this variation of approach gives me an edge when trying to outwit the carp, and out of all the different ways of catching carp, the one tactic that still gets the adrenalin going is stalking in clear water, when you can see what you are trying to catch, watching it's every move, building its confidence, before finally placing the rig.
