Read the full story...I love fishing in winter. Lots of anglers hang up their rods until the spring so the banks tend to be a lot quieter. Plus, the carp are often at their largest weights and displaying their full winter colours. Although the fishing can be tough, I find it the most enjoyable time of the year to be on the bank.
We’ve had some savage winters in recent years, certainly when it comes to carp fishing, so I’m hoping that this one may be a little milder. With loads of exciting prototypes being delivered to Avid HQ as I write this, it’s an exciting time of the year for us. I’m really looking forward to getting out on the bank and putting the new products through their paces.
It’s all systems go here, as were currently testing the new hook bait range that we’ve been developing in conjunction with Sonubaits. During field testing, the team members both home and abroad have had some incredible results. Those of you who regularly visit our Facebook page will have seen the constant stream of large carp that have fallen to these super-attractive hook baits.
Over the next few months, there will be a steady supply of new products trickling into Avid stockists up and down the country. Expect to see revolutionary carp-care equipment, two new shelters, more luggage and loads more innovative terminal tackle bits.
2011 was an incredibly successful year for us, but we're not going to rest on our laurels. We’ve got big plans for 2012 and we’ll be launching even more exciting tackle that WILL help you catch more carp.
